50 people, children and adults, walked with their feet inked, over 30 meters of raw henequen fabric at the exit of mass in San Mateo church, Santa Elena, Yucatan.
50 personas, niños y adultos, caminaron con sus pies entintados sobre 30 metros de tela cruda de henequén a la salida de misa en la Iglesia de San Mateo, Santa Elena, Yucatán.

In 2010 I photographed the paintings made on crosses of the Tetiz cemetery, in Yucatan.These paintings made by anonymous painters of the town are renewed every year before the day of the dead. Each year different paintings are made representing the Virgin of Guadalupe in women's tombs and Christ in men's tombs. The project is still unfinished. It could be done the day a museum accepts my proposal to display anonymous pieces as art and not ethnography.
En 2010 fotografié las pinturas realizadas sobre cruces del panteón de Tetiz, Yucatán. Estas pinturas hechas por pintores anónimos del pueblo se renuevan año a año antes del día de muertos. Cada año se hacen pinturas diferentes representado a la Virgen de Guadalupe en las tumbas de mujeres y a Cristo en las tumbas de hombres. El proyecto aún está inacabado. Podrá ser realizado el día que un museo acepte mi propuesta de exponer obras anónimas como arte y no etnografía.

1. The African wax print fabric, mounted on a frame, is hung on the wall
horizontally with the center at 150 cm.
2. The table is located centered under the canvas with 30 cm of separation
from the wall.
3. The blanket is installed on the left side of the table, extending it
(perpendicularly to the length of the table) and letting the excess hang
towards the wall.
4. To the right of the table, a tray with textile ink and a wooden block with a
geometric Puuc design are installed to form a Pop pattern (petate).
5. At the opening of the expo, the author demonstrates the printing of the
pattern by starting the first row of the fabric, inviting visitors to finish the
total printing of the fabric. As progress is made, the new printed fabric
hangs forward.
1. La tela estampada de cera africana, montada sobre un bastidor, se cuelga
en la pared de forma horizontal con el centro a 150 cm.
2. La mesa se ubica centrada debajo de la lona con 30 cm de separación de la
pared.
3. La manta se instala en el lado izquierdo de la mesa, extendiéndola
(perpendicularmente al largo de la mesa) y dejando el exceso cuelga hacia la
pared.
4. A la derecha de la mesa, se instala una bandeja con tinta textil y un bloque
de madera con un diseño geométrico Puuc para formar un patrón Pop
(petate).
5. En la inauguración de la exposición, el autor demuestra la impresión del
patrón comenzando la primera fila de la tela, invitando a los visitantes a
terminar la impresión total de la tela. Como se hace progreso, se permite
que la nueva tela impresa cuelgue hacia adelante.
